I now attend and am a member of a United Methodist church.  As I am neither Republican nor Democrat, I am also independent when it comes down to theology… I was brought up (Southern Baptist) on the teachings of the Bible… I can read and draw my own conclusions from the teachings of Jesus.

I wish to note here that The United Methodists… aren’t… united, that is.  Regardless of how their poobahs decree, the locals will handle it their own way.

I do not agree with the LBGTQ dogma.  I do not accept that I must publically validate their preference(s).  On the other hand, WHATEVER they do in private is none of my business.

AND… they are welcome to come into my church and worship and fellowship with us (me).  ("Let he, who is without sin, cast the first stone.")

This is NOT confusing at all.  When I get to my final reckoning, everything I “loosed” on earth will be found “in my cup”… “packed down and overflowing.”  I do not want judgment, hatred, and bigotry found in my cup.  They too… the LBGTQ… will find everything they “loosed” on earth in their cup.  EVERY “Christian” will also find everything they “loosed” on earth in their cup.  And GOD is the only one authorized to mete out judgment.

I DO want to find forgiveness and compassion in my cup.  Do you?  Should the members of my congregation… my minister… my denomination practice forgiveness and compassion?  In my church… I believe they will.  I have seen unmistakable evidence that they do.
