My feeling is this - if Trump broke the law and they can prove it, then impeach him or shut up about it.  I think that the Democrats love to just keep this going as long as they can, because the truth is that they don't have a strong democratic candidate.  Biden is a retread and their is no reason to think he would be a more effective President than he was a VP or a member of Congress.  The rest of the field is too radical for most people.  Also, by keeping this going, the Democrats think people will be fooled and will not see that they have not passed any meaningful legislation in recent sessions.  Republicans in Congress worry because they know that Trump will call their bluff and that scares them because -gasp- he'll call them out.  

Watched a few minutes of CNN this morning - I don't know what they'll use for content if Trump were to stop tweeting.  They keep predicting disaster which never seems to arrive.  I did love the story about hiding the Air craft carrier John McCain from Trump.  That overcelebrated, grandstanding old man, now dead, should just fade off into the sunset, no matter what his big mouth daughter has to say.  She's just attempting to ride his coattails to find a career for herself.
