Trump knows that Kim Jong Un is a brutal dictator - but even if he prublicly condemned him, Kim would not care.  What Trump wants (adn the rest of the world wants) is for Kim to denuke.  What do you think the chances are to continue talks and meeting if Trump starts calling him names?  

In most Asian countries, people kill themselves for losing face.  This is not some fantasy - it is a very real thing.  That's why in the Asian countries, the form large committee for the approval of anything, so no one person is responsible for a bad decision and cause a family or a company to lose face.  In NK, it is the same principle, but since the Kim's present themselves as Gods and don't allow anyone other than themselves to make decisions - then it must be the fault of the Envoy to the U.S who caused NK to lose face (in the eyes of Kim).  You need to remember that other cultures and belief systems have been in place for centuries, and they are not going to change.  And honor killings are part of that culture.  So getting on your high horse and beating your chest will not change anything.  It is not our job to to police the world and tell them what is right and wrong.
