Either you've been drinking, or your reading comprehension is really, really bad. CRD made reference to not attending public school in one post, then in a later one said his classmates would have trashed a BMW or a Jaguar because they would have wanted a "Barchetta" instead. That name means "little boat" in Italian and has been applied to a number of Italian sports and racing cars since the end of WWII. Ambiguity notwithstanding, the implication is that his classmates were above trifling with mere BMWs and Jaguars and would insist on getting real cars when they turned 16. Now, go back and read the thread - carefully this time - and the light may come on. Or not.

Some people may indeed do that. However, if you're really concerned about the quality of education your children are getting, there is alternative: become active in your public school system. Join the PTA. Volunteer to help teachers. Attend Board of Education meetings. That kind of thing. Did you consider trying that?

Actually, it was from 1954 to 1976, at which time the SCOTUS ruled against tax-exempt status for schools that discriminated.
