My daughters were talking about this last night. They have a friend whose dog almost died from it. Let's hope its not in Lake Martin because we are headed there this weekend and our dog loves to swim. I don't think it should be a problem at Lake Martin as it requires warm, stagnant water and lots of phosporus from fertilizers. It's more of a concern with stagnant ponds. Either way, its good to keep dogs away from areas with lots of algae, especially if its blue-green in color.
