Visited Costco in Montgomery this afternoon. Entry physically controlled by stacked empty palates, only option to get a cart is one that has been wiped down by an associate. Store was sparsely populated with customers so keeping six feet separation was easy. Upon checkout the associates were gloved for their protection. Unlike before, you didn't hand your Costco card to the checker; you show it to them and they scan the bar code. After scanning everything and paying using the card machine the checker asks the customer to take the receipt off the machine. Upon departing the store the checker doesn't take the receipt but views it and the basket of goods and says "thanks for shopping at Costco".
Someone put a lot of thought into their operation and I applaud the resultant shopping experience. Good on you Costco (in spite of your politics, lol)!!
