If you have decent soil, sun and water you can grow about any fruit you desire in this area including bananas.  Apples, pears, peaches, figs, are all no problem.  IF you aren't sure about your soil you can pick up a sample kit from the County Extention Office and send it in for testing.  They will send back a report along with recomendatoins for improving it.
