That's where the concept of hybrid schools come in.  Helps a lot with STEM subjects.  I know a very large number of homeshooling families and their kids are very well rounded, polite, hard working and motivated.  And they can think critically, which is something our education system tries to prevent because it gets in the way of indoctrination.
