Saw that too - "I did not see the noose, did not know about the noose that has been there for over a year - but I was as scared."  It is all about publicity.  If enough fans decide to no longer buy tickets, and I am pretty sure that people who did not go before are not going to become fans and start buying tickets - that might cut into their bottom line and maybe NASCAR will rethink their knee jerks(but probably not, they will double down just like the Bubba did.)
