After following your ongoing saga on your missing package, I just had my faith renewed that there is still some degree of "honesty" alive in the world today. I just called my sister a couple of days ago to wish her well on her "73rd Birthday". As we talked she said "let me tell you what just happened to me." She and her husband went to Walmart grocery shopping. He stayed in the car and when she came back she told him to push the button to open the trunk. When the trunk didn't open he got out and went to the back of the car to open the trunk. Shortly after they got home he realized he didn't have his wallett. At that point they became "frantic". He had his credit cards, social security card, driver's license, and other important items , along with $2400.00 in cash in his wallett. That was the only place they had been and he had not gotten of the car anywhere. She called Walmart and talked to the the person who handled lost and found. Believe it or not, after she had described the wallett, it had been turned in. My sister said she finds it still hard to believe that it had been turned in. She said that there was no information about the person who turned it in. It would be interesting to know a little information about the person who found it. She would liked to have given a reward to that person. One thing we do know, they placed "honesty" above any other "choice" they might have made. It is also nice to know that the Walmart employee who handled the situation was not tempted by the large amount of cash. I feel sure that my sister has provided some sage advice about the need for her husband to carry large sums of money in his wallett.
