There is a First Responder Boat Parade scheduled for Septemebr 12th.  On 9/12, one day after the anniversary of September 11th we will show our support for all law enforcement and first responders on Lake Martin by hosting a boat parade. Lake Martin Boaters group along with Backwater Marine Towing and Salvage and Lake Martin Resource Association will host the first Back the Blue/ First Responder parade on Lake Martin.
We also ask that in memory of our Marine Patrolman, Trooper JR Southerland that you run your docking lights for the parade.
Preliminary route: 2-3 Red Backwater Marine tow boats will escort the parade from the bay near Chucks Marina to Real Island, where JR was based. You can join in anywhere along the route. Please fly all your flags!
The Flag People will be setting up a tent on the weekends at The Landing at Parker Creek sell American Flags, Police flags and first responder flags.
