I didn't watch the whole thing, since neither side was going to answer the questions posed, but were intent on getting their talking points across.  Pence played very well the old Washington adage "When they ask you a question that you don't want to answer, answer one that you do want to answer."

I thought Kamala came across as smug and the facial expressions were over the top.  I would have been put off by her no matter which side she was on.  I cannot imagine her as President and I think that they chose wrong - but you know, I believe that Obama chose her and he lives with a woman and her facial expressions too - so maybe it doesn't bother him.  

I thought it was very telling just how juvenile Biden is, when the best he can do is come up with a joke about the fly that landed on Pence.  Biden is no mental giant for sure.  

I always find Pence to be a bit of an enigma.  He sticks to the talking points and never goes off message.  It would be interesting to talk to him, just to get a sense of who he is, beyond the talking points.  I've always thought he and Trump were a strange combination, but I guess Trump picked him for the Evangelical vote?  

From the 45 minutes I watched, I thought Pence won - he never went off message and he never got flustered or really showed any frustration with her.  

LOL, I love when the democrats now talk about their "COVID plan".  That ship has sailed and the only plan needed now is to figure out how to get the vaccine out to the people in an orderly manner.  BTW - did you notice that Pence really got her about the Trump tax cuts and how Biden said he would do away with them on Day 1.  She couldn't seem to grasp that by cancelling the tax cuts that they are in fact, raising taxes.  If I made over $400K a year - and that's not all that hard to do with two professional couples, I would be worried.  I also noted that she was talking about the "free college" and "free daycare" and all those freebies, which for anyone with half a brain would know that the money for those freebies has to come from raising taxes.
