I don't have to do a background check on anyone to sell them a car either, and they are likely to kill someone as a gun. More die from automobile accidents than by gun every year.  Both REQUIRE a human to operate them.  Automobiles and trucks are being used as weapons with more and more frequency, both offensively and deffensively.  One could drive that car straight into a crowd of trumistas so why not require a backgroud check to sell you a car.  A car is most ceertainly more likely to be used in a crime as a gun, it takes the perps to the crime and affects their getaway, but only a small fractions of crimes are committed using a gun.

So there is my argument for background checks for automobile sales.  

Owning a operating a vehicle in this country is a priviledge licensed and regulated by the State.

OWNING AND OPERATING A FIREARM IS MY GOD GIVEN RIGHT!
