At least according this peer reviewed study out of Stanford that examined 10 countries, including the U.S.  Of course we all knew that saving lvies was never the purpose of the shutdowns.  It was to kill the economy to harm Trump's reelection chances.  Mission accomplished on that front.  Millions of lives ruined....small businesses destroyed.....trillions in new debt.......lost year of education of our children.......but hey, Trump is gone so it was all worth it, right?
