I don't think they want anyone launching any boat worth less than $50,000 in the area, not when the two houses they are listng are between $600,000 and $800,000.  I figure they will begiving away those houses in a couple of years after the train comes through a couple of times at two in the morning.  Especially the engineer who blows the whistle all the way from Jackson's Gap til he crosses the river.

I know of a couple of private launches; next closest is Alex City launch by the bridge.  Good luck.
