Funny didnt see you bitching too much about minority rights back when demonrats were in the minority and used the tools at their disposal such as the filibuster very often.

Gerrymandering goes both ways - republicans and demonrats both do it, and for the same reasons, you just get pissed whos turn it is.  Just like with the filibuster now, and packing the courts now that demonrats do not anticipate a majority at the supreme court anymore.

You are nothing but the kid on the playground who gets pissed when he is struggling and either changes the rules constantly to benefit himself  or just says screw it and takes his ball home so that no one can participate.  Lets look at the filibuster - national news is telling us how the evil republicans are using to thwart the will of the voters and it has to go, but when demonrats flee Texas to now allow a quorum and basically filibuster legistlation they do not agree with the national media, demonrats hold them out as examples of how it should be done with superspreader events at the White House and congress - I am amazed they did not get a ticker tape parade, but then again they are begging for care packages from homes as apparently they can not locate sewing kits or Dr. Pepper anywhere on their room service menus or local stores.  But then again after all the riots, covid fears, arson and looting maybe the stores just closed and that is why they can not get the things they want shipped to them for free while staying in really nice hotels.

Our system of government ensures minority rights - But then again, I have a feeling you have not met a minority you dont mind taking rights from.

 Yeah so stop with the Republicans are evil as a minority(or majority) and do X and we never do something like that BS. Thankfully, some of the rules you want to change(EC) are in the constitution and require more then a simple majority to change.

As for gerrymandering - I would love a simple alternative - lines must match county lines, and must be counties must be connected, and as much as possible the number of voters in the state districts must be equal +/- some percentage ( needed for some cities/counties that are have high populations and may become a stand alone district. )  Haveing seen some of the insane district lines in both red and blue states - I wonder which party would be more vocal and not being able to carve it up along racial and political lines.
