When I arrived at HQ Strategic Air Command in 1970 there was a plaque in the deputy's office.  It basically said this: Get 1,000 Attaboys and you will be declared a SAC-trained killer.  If, along the way you get one Awshit, all your Attaboys are erased and you start all over.

I fear as a nation we are suffering that Awshit.
