Interesting stuff MM! I googled Feldspar and the image is consistent with what I see. Then I googled Plagiocase, and I have some of that too! So the sand that we see washed up in slews or on the shoreline is from sedimentary rock weathering? In a man made lake? Is there a difference between the white sand and the grey/brown sand? I have both. I will often shovel the grey/brown sand from the lake bed in winter and use much like river sand for turf leveling and topgrading adjacent to my seawall. (don't tell APC)
Happy Thanksgiving!
