We are not going back to the good old days (for example, Google ‘Back when we were Negroes’ By Charles E. Richardson).

A liberal arts degree will not revert to including courses on classical literature, philosophy, critical thinking, government, and world history. You will not be able to hire a liberal arts graduate thinking that person will be able to think for themselves and use clear logic to resolve problems.

All math problems can now be solved in the palm of your hand - no paper, pencil, or thinking required. The average brain was reported to require about 400 calories per day. In the future it will require only 150 calories – about the same as a bowl of instant oatmeal - which will be sufficient as future brains will equate to a bowl of oatmeal.

The government and computers will make all future decisions for your scion.

Behavior will no longer be the result of its consequences (as if anyone knows or cares who B. F. Skinner was). Behavior is now the fault of inanimate objects and the people who manufacture them.

Justice is blind. But, she has an ear bud.

That annoying Constitution gets in the way of situational ethics.

The concept of personal responsibility and self discipline passed away along with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and two-parent homes. Having control of one’s self is so… passé. For your amusement I include here a list from the Scout Law: Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.

1 – Go ahead. Use those traits to evaluate yourself.

2 – “…Do not compare yourself with others, for there always be greater or lesser persons than yourself…”

Diversity and cultural preferences are mutually divergent. Movies and television are virtue signaling. Elementary school children graduate from color blindness to racism by the time they get to the fifth grade. We are ALL prejudice.

We ignored history and science at our own peril. As a matter of fact, history and science were so bothersome that we decided to edit them to suit.

- LMF Curmudgeon

PS: To my three grandsons: I am SO sorry!
