I agree with you.  These shootings are a symptom of the problem, and guns are not the problem.  Just like drugs are not the problem, but a symptom of a problem. 

It never fails to amaze me the way people jump on the message, without thinking objectively about what the problem is in our society.  And there is a problem, but it is not the availability of guns or drugs.
