The mother of the shooter, who apparently is addicted to drugs herself, was quoted as saying "My son is not a monster.  He gets aggressive when he is angry.  Forgive him".  

The facr that this woman would say such a thing in a town where her son just killed 21 people is astounding.  It's like saying "it wasn't that bad. He was just upset".  But the truth is he was threatening to do this and making other violent posts on some website hosted overseas that is frequented by young people.  Several times his posts were reported to Administrators, who did nothing.
