I have to disagree but... Most of the people that complain are really committed to the lake and are concerned about the quality of life around the lake. The ones I have heard over the years own property and or live on the lake and have a much larger investment in the lake than an expensive boat.

That's why there are regulations on noise in the first place. Keep the boat, just quiet the thing down. The need to attract attention by driving a noisy boat is just pure adolescence.
