We are located on the south side just west of the Kowaliga bridge.
When the water rises in March and April, you will find trash everywhere on the lake. It builds up around the shore during the winter, and floats away when the water rises. We start skiing in March and have few major problems in our area; but we are watchful. I imagine the main channel is worse.
We never have muddy water in our area, although sometimes it's less clear. On a bad day I can see 4-5 feet down from my dock. Average is 6-10 feet. When the kids swim with mask and snorkel, they say they can see farther. Cloudy water is more dependent on wind and rough water than time of year.
