The Firestone tire & repair shop in Alex City seemed to be a friendly place to do business with. Unfortunately I encountered the following problems:

I brought the car to them for survicing at 18,000 miles and they said I needed new brakes on all 4 wheels. When I said I wanted to inspect the brakes they said I might be able to go another 5,000 miles but they were concerned for my safety and I left. Since then I have gone to another shop - I now have almost 45,000 miles on the car - never done anything to the brake system - and the new shop says my brakes are fine and will last many more miles.

Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, I purchased 4 new high mileage tires from the Firestone shop. Immediately, I noticed uneven wear on the tires and had them check the tires a number of times. They said the alignment was fine and something was wrong with the car. After 15,000 miles the tires were worn out and I went to another shop. They gave me a computer chart that showed all 4 wheels had been misaligned so the tires would wear out.

I write this message to alert others of these frauds.
