I think you'll do just fine without a depthfinder on this lake....mid-stream obstacles are well marked, and since we have good water clarity you can really read the water color for indications of shallow depth. Another general rule for me: the topography of the adjacent land... if it's flat as a flitter, the depth is likely to be shallow.

Depth finders are great tools, but we all got along without them for a long time around here. Have a nice summer.
