I have Direct TV at home & cable at the Lake... Direct TV is OK but very sensitive to summer storms when the signal can't penetrate those high-voltage clouds. So getting up-to-date weather info can be difficult when you need it most. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with the service. Movie selection matches recent releases at the Video store, for about a $1 less. I doubt you could have gotten the AU/Ball State game on their service though. Finally, DirectTV's internet service is way too expensive to replace Charter's cable internet service and you'll have to pay extra for local channels. Basic DirectTV service is around $50-55 per month. Hope all that's helpful......
