I've been bird watching this morning. A young bald eagle, maybe 10 pounds, swept past the lakeside windows and perched on a tall pine on the point of my lot. I watched it from a second story window fifty feet from the magnificent bird. After a ten minute rest it soared off toward Indian Hills. What a rush. It's been a few years since I got to watch an adult bald eagle land on the tallest long leaf pine here.
