I know that my position will not sit well with the NASCAR purist. That being said, I really am not that interested in which way it goes. From a business perspective, I think ATlanta can offer a better long term package due to the location of the Aquarium and the desire of Atlanta to vitalize the downtown area. The is a lot of movement towards high rise development, which brings commerce, which brings tourist, which brings money. The aquarium is proving to be a real achor for future development with the Coca Cola Museum, Football/Hockey/Basketball, etc. I know Charlotte is the home of NASCAR but I think the location offers limited pull as a stand alone venture.
