Do you really think that's going to happen? I may be ignorant but my experience with houseboats is the opposite. They avoid anchoring in places where people are near. They want islands, coves anywhere there is privacy.

The last place I ever wanted to anchor in my houseboat was 100 ft off some one's dock. When I was lucky I had a nubile babe that I wanted to go swimming with.... :-)

Can't speak for cruisers though..... never had one....
