Get a map for starters and try a get a view of where the main channel is. Thanks to Ala.Power they have finally marked it(it only took almost 100 years). Anyhow, anywhere upstream on Beeswax can get shallow off the channel. When they added on to the dam in the 60's they added 15 ft of water. So most coves and sloughs will be less than 15 ft deep form Beeswax north. One of the best stretches is from Beeswax to Cedar Creek . Then from the narrows to Waxahatchee creek. The stumps aren't bad through there. Anywhere else you can see them pretty well and the channel is marked so get out and ride. A PWC only takes a few inches of water anyhow. Besides, if you haven't hit anything on Lay you haven't been here long enough.
