Reading the forum and other "literary works of art" have led me to the following conclusions:

1. Those of us who grew up with the threat of the draft have a different perception of military service than those who didn't have to contend with the draft.

2. Few of us have an appreciation for the personal tribulations and suffering that military families go through with 2,3, or 4. tours to a war zone.

3. Those in the posts below who say we should "get out now" usually give as reasons excuses they've heard during the past month from the media. Has anyone wondered why Bush 1 stopped the Iraq invasion before he got to Basra--wonder why he didn't share his wisdom with Junior?

4. The most rabid college football fans have little, if any, football playing experience. The more excuse making, b*tching, screaming the fan does the less real knowledge. The more one understands the emotional side of the playing the game the more tolerate he becomes.
