Jaw, I can’t say that you are wrong, can’t say you are right. I personally liked the old man. I know Sadam had him on his hit list, but the rest of the world was on our side. I was never prouder to be an American than the night we watched the invasion to drive Big Daddy out of Kuwait. Plus he had enough sense to have a large coalition to help us in that effort. We had the world on our side and you felt like sticking your chest out and crowing that we did it the right way. The American way. Now with this goofuss we have now, the Bush name is not only hated throughout the world, but many of the Republicans running for re-election are trying to distance themselves from him. This country has never been so divided and this forum is a perfect example. So, in my mind, W himself is to blame for the perception of the Bush name. And after your post, to compare W with Reagan, I don’t think so. Reagan stood up to powerful nations and backed them down. Bush invaded a country the Alabama National Guard could take. Reagan would have never let both Iran and North Korea call his bluff. Seems like both of those countries have no fear of the Bush name.
