Lots of good info in the Guestbook section; read it now before someone cleans it out!
In fact, in case they do decide to clean out the comments that aren't 100% supportive of their cause, here is what they'll be deleting:
TO ALL WHO ARE ON THIS SITE:
As a CURRENT MEMBER, and RAT DAD TO 6 of the BEST and MOST KIND Majorettes in the band, the majorettes are NOT FADING. Last time I checked, I still saw them out on the field twirling...and doing some quite difficult things. Unfortunately the "goddess of the band" mentality IS FADING, what the AU Majorette "tradition" used to be...the majorettes don't "lead" the band, they accent it, just like every other member of the band. We are all equals, whether you want to believe it or not. Each member of the TIGER EYES is important, every single one of them. Where is the support for the Auburn Band? Are you really alumni? The athletic department and this University are behind Dr. Good, Dr. Vinson, and Dr. Rosener, by the way. Did you know that the "boots" you can't get away from, which is the root of this whole argument, actually HURT majorettes and don't allow them to do the difficult tricks that OUR Majorettes do. I mean don't get me wrong, we wouldn't be who we are today without our Alumni...seriously. But this is rediculous. Boots, sequins, and hair? Really? The more this goes on, the more YOU hurt the majorette tradition. You don't know what you are putting these girls through...but its hurting everyone....and making EVERYONE mad. Times change, fashion changes...do we all still wear bell bottoms? No, that was the 60's...band clothing changes..and the TIGER EYES are UNITED, and the band is behind them. Stop trying to CHANGE OUR BAND, it isn't YOURS ANYMORE.

This is absurd and ludicrous!! Where are you getting your information? I have a child in the band for the third year serving as a section leader. There have never been and will never be intentions of "getting rid of the majorettes". Yes, times have changed, thank goodness! The cheerleader uniforms and football uniforms are not the same style they were 20 years ago. Nobody is concerned they au is getting rid of them! Get a life and get with the times!! The au band is bigger and better than ever! I hope the tuition dollars I am paying continue to provide for improvement and change!

All of you ladies that are in your 30's and 40's and no longer look anywhere near like a majorette anymore have NO life! Don't you have a job or a family to be focused on?? You're living in the past and you're jealous of all the great things that are going on here at Auburn University. The main focus of the Tiger Eyes is 'unity', not to be stuck-up snobs like all of you are. The majorettes still wear white boots during pregame and they can't twirl batons in the stands because the band this year is the biggest it's ever been! It's growing because it looks and sounds good! All of you are an embarassment to Auburn University Marching Band alumni. Majorettes are still part of the band, just like Aubie is still on the sidelines, just like the eagle flies before games, and just like Toomers is rolled after a victory. So why don't you old ladies get a life and stop trying to tear down something that is great! I hope all of this comes back to bite you in the @ss!

To all the people who have read this website (including the majorettes from other schools):
Some of the information on this website is 100% FALSE. If it weren't, the person behind it wouldn't be afraid to put their contact information and name ANYWHERE on the entire site. This is my third year to march, and if anything the incorporation of the "Tiger Eyes" moniker has made the relationship between the three visual ensemble groups closer and less confrontational among each other. I have NEVER seen these girls get along with each other like they are now.
I'm not sure why an ALUMNI of the band would try to degrade and slander their former interest... but I guess that's just my opinion. If you really want to know more about this entire "situation", please talk to someone who actually has knowlege of the proceedings in the band... the CURRENT band (not the Old Alumni Band), such as a current member.
