Actually, fly fishermen consider anything a lesser form of fishing. Seriously, I don't have any problems trolling, especially since I don't have the right kind of boat to fish over deep structure unless I either troll or drift over it. I have caught some nice bass that way. One other thing. While you can't troll in bass tournaments, you can drift fish. drifting is not that much different from trolling, and you can use more different types of lures by drifting.
