I am now convinced that spring is almost here.....I just noticed today that the day is ever-so-slightly longer and Pikeski is thinking about a sprinkler system! I'm not the expert , but have done my own several times over the years, so free advice is worth just that.......I do have a system that pulls out of the lake, BUT...I built on a lot with a slope...it is a 40+ foot rise from the pump at the sea wall to the top of my lot plus a straight line distance of about 150+ feet from the pump to the front most part of the lot at the street. So....you would not want to size your system based on these numbers unless they are the same at your place. However.......things you need to know( you probably already know this) so as to reverse engineer your pipe size, pump size etc, are: total GPM your system needs to provide, number of zones and type of heads you will use, and amount of rise if you have one. Highly recommend you have different zones for your turf, as for your flower beds and /or shrubs, because they generally will take different amounts over the seasons. And last but not least.......even if you have to sell one of your PWCs......put in the auto control system! Now..... you will have to decide what is bogus and what is not. BTW.....Osms was hiring himself out recently to supervise these kind of jobs.... but I think Jlazc has had problems getting a pass for him out of the half way house. : -}
