I know of the pain these people are going through. One thing not mentioned in the news is the 1972 Tornado in Enterpirse which put a huge swath through the center of the largest trailer park in the area. It occurered early in the morning (2 or 3 AM) with four killed and over 80 injured. I was stationed at Ft. Rucker then, and our Engineering Battalion was called out to assist the civilian community. Most all the residence were military or their dependents. One of the worst disasters I have personally experienced. An officer in my Battalion wife was one of the four casualties. I think I still have a picture of just the twisted metal frame of a 12 X 60 trailer in the top of a huge old oak tree approximately 1/2 mile from where the trailer was parked.
