Feb, let me be real honest here. I occasionally read articles from the following mainstream (liberal) media newspapers: The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlanta Journal Constitution and The St. Louis Post Dispatch. Very rarely would I consider them to be unbiased, even with sports news. Most of their journalists lack the objectivity to simple report the news but seem to always have to interject their personal views and the obligatory left wing slant. That's okay for the editorial page, but it does't belong elsewhere. Additionally, I feel the same way about television news. If I only watched network news and read the above listed newspapers, I would be thoroughly convinced that Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were the greatest presidents of all time and George Bush is the worst. I would also be convinced that terrorism doesn't really exist, and that 9/11 was just an isolated incident. I'd also be convinced that if we would just get out of Iraq, we'd all live happily ever after. But that's not really true, because global warming is really the biggest issue we face and if we don't do something within the next few weeks, we are all doomed!

But since I get the majority of my news from other sources, I'm of the opinion Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were the worst presidents of all time and George Bush has been a good president but certainly not great. I'm also of the opinion that terrorism is the most important issue facing this country and that global warming is just another doomsday scare that will ultimately be added the following list of calamities that didn't happen:
1) "Silent Spring"
2) "Population Bomb"
3) "End of Fossil Fuels"
4) “Acid Rain”
5) "New Ice Age"
6) "Y2K Catastrophe"
7) “The Ozone Hole”
8) “2006 To Be Worst Hurricane Season Ever”

Having said all this, the article you linked in the Washington Post is not that bad. There are many of us conservatives that don't agree on many things that President Bush has done, and this apparent change on Iran is one of them. If negotiation will solve these middle east problems, why in the world do we still have an Israel/Palestine problem? Those peace talks have been going on since President Carter was in office!
