I don't know the facts about the Lowe's in Alex City story, but here is another piece of info to muddy the waters. Lowe's just announced it is building a store in Wetumpka, which has a population less than half of Alex City. Add in those living near Wetumpka and you have a population close to Alex City, but much less than the whole Alex City-Jacksons Gap- Dadeville Hwy 280 area. And Wetumpka also has a Russel Do-It Center.
