In economic development circles, projects like this generally are thought to have a multiplier factor of about 7 times, meaning that money spent will turn over in a given community about 7 times before it peters out. I would think that this project would be a good bet for a high turnover when you consider that suppliers will want to locate as close as possible along with other ancillary providers of goods and services. The real questions tax payers probably should want to ask are, did they offer the absolute minimum they could and still get the big prize, will this cause a burden on local communities that the state will not help with and are the local communities ready for the unprecedented changes these type projects will bring about.
