Ditto the locking cap recommendation. I've never really worried too much about this at our cabin, but when I got my boat out of storage this spring I found I was 40 gallons "light".

I also found that if you're going to discover someone just stole $150 from you, the best possible time is when your boat is gliding off the trailer for the first time of the season. The pain goes away pretty quickly.........
