I told a neighbor after his dog attacked mine that was under my control "If he comes in my yard he's my dog so keep him up or keep him away". I wouldn't go shooting dogs on other people's property. Be sure to call the police and get it on record. Get your neighbors to call and complain too. It would be helpful to get the owner's name through a tag if you can. Then the police have someone to talk to. They hate this stuff too.

THIS IS A POLITICAL PROBLEM JUST LIKE THE SEWER ISSUE

Tallapoosa County desparately needs a leash law. It's just a matter of time before this story is told about some child getting hurt or killed. Why can't an ordinance be passed? Our police have been told we can't afford an animal control operation.

That's just baloney. At a minimum you could fine people for letting their dogs run loose like that. Those of you that can vote should be talking to your county commissioner. Especially around election time.
