I was thinking about having Class IV throwable devices for our HOBO boats.
************************ from source ****************************************
USCG PFDs approved must lift:

Throwable:
Cushion 20 lb.
Ring Buoy IV 16.5 & 32 lb.
******************* end source *******************************************
Does anyone know if inland recreational boats might ever need the higher standard of 32 lb?

I was thinking that a hard foam round PFD throwable device with some logo on it would be nice to hang on the stern of boat. Free to members, $15 to buy. Many families will join as a single to get a "free" PFD. Once joined, they may upgrade or become more active. The novelty sizes retail for $9.95 It must be maybe $3 by the gross. I'm looking into it.
OR
it reads Lake Martin HOBO, member, if a member, Lake Martin HOBO, if not.
I also like
Lake Martin HOBO (over)
Captain (under)
for entry level family and
Lake Martin HOBO (over)
Admiral (under)
for an endowment type of extra donation with levels in between, I have to work on that. A captain in US Navy is very high (O-6) already and words like vice Admiral, fleet Admiral are not well known. Could be Ensign, Commander, Captain, Admiral,

I have had the "six pack" approved IV and they are monsters!

I will throw out these ideas in case I can't make the meeting. Going to Pelham tommorrow.

No, don' have a six pack of beer now.
A six pack license allows the captian to carry up to six passengers.
