"All boats are required to display a white light visible from all directions whenever they are moored or anchored away from dock between sunset and sunrise."

Taken directly from Alabama Fish and Game's website. Your boat is a hazard unless you have your light displayed. You will be liable for any injuries or damages that are a result of a collision. The fact that the lake is low does exclude us from any laws or regulations.
