That's a lot of questions but certaily intelligent ones.

Here's what I think or know:

1. It's never safe to jump from the Rock. Watch out for stumps left for fishing out of the main channels. Most are on maps and you will need one. The lake is not really marked that well.

2. Your kids will like Niffers( near Stillwaters). You will like Sinclairs at the Kowaliga Marina. Your wife will like Yellowhammer toward Auburn on 280. Cecil's in Alex City for you both. Oscars for burgers & fried anything (also near Stillwaters)

3. Pretty clear most of the time but you'll get more of a humidity haze this time of year.

4. Horseshoe Bend Park, Cherokee Ridge Trail (http://www.cherokeeridgealpinetrail.org/), Lake Martin Dam Tour, Children's Harbor, Anything at the Lake Martin Ampitheater Ampitheater (http://www.lmat.org/), Kareoke at Chuck's Pizza. I'm sure others will have more.

5. I don't know about wakeboard sites. There are plenty of unpopulated areas on the lake. Stay away from docks-some owners use potato
canons

6. Northwest

7.GPS- I think so. Cellphone-crap shoot

You have picked the jewel of the south. I hope you and your family have a great vacation. You will be greeted with good old fasioned hospitality!
