I never claimed they were just sitting there. Just stating that would not be a very wise thing to do. I honestly have no first-hand information about this accident, and have made no judgement as to what caused the accident. Obviously one boat hit another one. The boat that was the apparent cause of the wreck left the scene. Those are the only facts that I have been presented with.

I am sure that the marine police will document the findings and we will be presented with those findings.

I agree that leaving the scene of an injury accident is a hanous act and I am sure the person will pay their due. BUT, since I wasn't there I was just stating that there may be another reason for the poor judgement. One would immediately assume that the preson was BUI, and there is a high probability that they were (statistically speaking). But it isn't up to me to presume that.

I hope everyone is OK, and I hope others learn from this mis-fortune.
