You being a hydrologist may be able to clear up some issues regarding the current drought situation. I know you don't work in this area but may have access to data that we don't have or are not familiar with, and then again may just know the answer to my main question.

How often are the rivers, creeks and streams actually measured?

There has been a comment on here several times that APCO is using outdated 'flow charts' for the watershed of our lake ( I personally know better, but it will carry more weight coming from you than me). It has just been in the last few days, in fact, where I read that the current flow of Tallapoosa River is down to 79cfs as measured at Horseshoe Bend and the outflow is set by FERC at 2400cfs. I can't remember where I read it though.

Any way I thought maybe with your expertise you may be able to shed some light on the subject for some that insist APCO is mismanaging the lake. I hope that when your vacation is over you continue to frequent the forum. It will be nice to have someone with expertise to add to our discussions.

I also hope that your baby is doing well!!!! It is a shame that she wont be able to enjoy the water anymore while she is here.
