Been lurking for a long time. Finally feel like diving in.

Seems the rumors last year were that APCO was asking the corps to allow them to change the winter level. Instead of dropping the lake 5 feet, they were looking for 2.5. Well, that is about what we have had all season this year and most of last.

The recent rain has been great but I think we all realize that it will take weeks worth of steady rain to get us and everybody else back to normal. I don't know a lot about hydro electric power systems and water management but I do know that much. We have it much much better than our friends down on Lake Martin and they are controled by the same entity and Diety.

I hope to make the gathering at Pier 59 this weekend. I too come from the Stemly area on a slow pontoon boat but if the weather holds, it seems like a great way to spend the day on the lake.

Back to lurk mode.
