I won't disagree with you 8. I agree that they probably do. But what you have to understand is what an apolitical organization APCO is. They want no part of ANY controversy or bad public image. Were they in cahoots with Riley on this? Who knows. But in or not, the bottom line is we are getting some relief. What I am reading today is saying that we will stick at 480, but we all know that could change as quick as weather in summer. My point all along is that some seem to have a myopic view of the situation, only considering Lake Martin and not the rest of the water system. Managing water resources is a regional undertaking, not just a local issue. And when you have 'bickering' that has been going on between Alabama, Georgia, and Florida that can be a lot more difficult.

One thing I found really interesting was in the Atlanta Journal article that was posted was the quote that Georgia is being forced to draw down their lakes, but Alabama is keeping ours full. HA HA. I had to wonder if that was on oversight, or intentional misleading of the masses in order to rile up the Georgia folks.
