I've never understood the deal with Lay Lake myself. They can generate just as much power there and serve just as many customers as they do with Logan Martin or Martin. It would be nice to hear from APCO on that but I doubt we would be happy even then.

The even funnier thing is that Southern Company, the parent of APCO is also the parent of Georgia Power and have the same deals on the lakes and rivers in Georgia. Same issues, same gripes as we have. Same company making the same money. But..if you want electricity, like to run our computers..what else are we gonna do? Anybody switching to solar?

What we all need is rain. OK, I made an understatement. That is the only real way our lake, or any other, are going to get the help they need.

And I don't know how many years it's been since we've had a flood but we're about due. What happens then? This is my second year on the lake. I haven't been here for a flood yet. But come to think of it, I haven't been here for a full pool summer yet either. Last year was dry too.
