Predictions are for the birds. Bottom line is NO ONE knows the future and while the future looks dry, any hurricane hitting MS-AL coast and we will gain 5-10 inches of rain.

APCO basically is in control of our recreation not Mother Nature.

APCO Question.......If the water release has been adjusted so that the water levels will remain constant during the drought, then when it rains, WHY do you let extra water out instead of stay at your current rate of release?

All Summer long we have had very little rain and in general the levels have stayed consistent within a few inches. during July we had a decent amount of rain but every time it does rain and the level rises APCO lets the water right back out to the level before the rain.

If Gov Riley was going to go to court over something, go after APCO and keep the levels of ALL lakes at or near full pool. This would cause all of us to go back to griping about gas prices and the taxes collected on fuel bought and used on the water would increase 10fold.

It would cause the property values to rise which would inturn cause more taxes to flow into the state so we can return to griping about property taxes and how the GOVERNMENT misuses our good money and how all politicians are worthless.

APCO should keep all levels at or near full pool and use the Hydro Power only as an emergency resort. APCO has already stated that they do not need the power, thaat they already have suffecient hydro power and it is not needed at this time.

WOW - Sorry, I don't know where all of that came from, I am going back into my hole now.
